Charlotte Flights

The Charlotte Flights Track and Field Club was formed over 13 years ago in
Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the largest of the local youth
developmental summer track programs with over 350 athletes. Our athletes,
ages 5 to 18, come from a diversity of socio-economic backgrounds from the
local area. Our goal is to provide a meaningful athletic, mental and
spiritual development opportunity for as many children as possible, in
addition to teaching discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork, self esteem, and
wellness.

We are a volunteer-led, non-profit AAU organization, whose athletes have
dominated the AAU state and regional meets over the past few years. Last
year, 154 of our athletes qualified and then participated in the AAU
National Junior Olympics in Knoxville, Tennessee, winning 42 medals and 5
National Championships.

Each June, the Charlotte Flights hosts the Jim Law Invitational T&F
Championships which have annually attracted over 1,000 of the best athletes
from the East Coast and the Carolinas. It is the largest youth athletic
event held in the Charlotte area.

We have hard working coaches, dedicated athletes and parents and proudly
boast that over 85 percent of our graduating seniors have gone on to
compete at the college level.
