Hi Dad:
How is everyone? I have a new phone number
it is (011) 073-688-4517 also, you can visit my website and
download my photos at www.stacyharrisministries.com It was easier to post
them on the website than send them all since I have so many. I have
pictures of the children, the church and Nairobi. The camera works well,
it is just getting them on the computer is tough because they are low tech and
everything is European. It is the same but just a little different.
Anyway, I am doing fine. The kids are great and my pastor is a really
good man, it was a blessing to meet him.
If you need anything for black history month let me know as my entire life I studied Africa but since I have been here I now realize that all the books are lies. They do not even come close to telling the truth. In Kenya they are digging up mass graves of Kenyans executed by the British under the authority of Queen Elizabeth. She offered $7 for every dead Kenyan in the late 1950's. The stories I read and hear are unbelievable. I think this is what I will write about one day, but it is going to cause many people to be angry. When I look at the facts, Queen Elizabeth is no better than Saddaam Hussein. She ordered executions to be carried out by her leaders in Kenya and all of east Africa. The Africans do not have a problem it is the Europeans that colonized for nearly 700 years who have the problem. They took their land, their dignity and their lives, it is such a shame and they have only been free for less than 50 years so naturally it is going to take time to change. Maybe I am being harsh on the Queen but the facts are the facts. It is why Kenyans have embraced America because they truly hate the British and other Europeans and because there are a lot of black Americans they can identify with. Maybe you will not use this for black history, but the truth is that our books in America only tell the colonization side they do not tell the side of the Africans. It is called the Mau Mau revolution in Kenya it is the time they became independent but they had to do it by force. These peace loving people had to rise up and become violent in order to take back their own land. And to this day they are still trying to get their land back as the colonist still maintain much of the land and unfortunately, the freedom fighters gave their life and were lost in history, but the ones who sided with the British and fought against the freedom fighters took all the land. There are a handful of Kenyans, including the first President, who are so wealthy it makes no sense. They literally own over half of Kenya as they split the profits with the British. Just this weekend the family of the first President evicted an entire city, demolished their homes as they had been living there for over 40 years. The land was sold to developers and just like that they have nothing left. Land that was originally theirs, but was taken is now gone forever.
Africans are not savages, cannibals or evil and
violent people. They are humble, fun loving, family oriented, but
unfortunately they have been colonized for so long that they forgot who they
are. They forgot that God loves them and cares for them. I see this
in the kids as they know who they are and they know God loves them it is why
they love me so much. They come running from all over when I show up it
is like I am the pied piper. I love these kids so much that all I want to
do is see them live a good life. Our church is now working with the
Kenyan government and they are going to supply us with social workers to help
with the children because there are just so many. We had to increase our
feeding program because where there is food there will be children.
The weather is great here. Give Jesse my
phone number and get an email from him for me. I am going to be moving on
my own soon, once I get my first check in February. The family has
treated me nice, but they are stressing me too much. They think I am a
rich American and they want too much from me so even though I have committed a
lot of money to the place I am going to get my own place, a nicer place for
less money. It is going to be closer to my church, which I have pictures
of on my website. It is hard sometimes when everyone thinks you are rich
and you try to explain that all Americans are not rich, but compared to what
they have maybe I am rich. We are hoping to expand our operations this
year as good things are going to happen. I am going to visit many
organizations to assist us as the job is gigantic and I do not want to let
these kids down. They are depending on me, they see hope in me and I must
do my best.
God bless you, tell everyone I love them and I
will talk to you soon.
