beginning with the Hershey State Meet June 27th. Points will be given for your performance or participation. Your place in
meets on our calendar or road races that you enter will be given the following points for each event: 1st(10), 2nd(8),
3rd(6), 4th(4), 5th(2), 6th(1), Participant (1). Standings will be listed on this page. Outstanding athletes based on
points will be recognized at our summer track & field pizza night Tuesday August 4th 5pm.

NJ Elementary School State Cross Country Championships
Two members of the Fair Haven Youth Track and Cross
Country Club competed in the highly competitive NJ Elementary School State Cross Country Championships. Emily Brosa,
a third grader at Sickles School finished seventy-first aout of approximately 150 third grade boys and girls. Hannah Anderson
a sixth grader at Knollwood School won the championship in the 4th to 6th grade girls division which also had approximately
150 competitors. She completed the one mile course in six minutes and twenty seconds. The Fair Haven YouthCross
country team will host a Cross Country Invitational for athletes in grades K thru 8 at Fair Haven Fields
Thursday October 30th Post registration will be from 3pm to
4pm and races will begin at 4:15. For additional information contact Coach Harris at (732)747-1752 or visit www.fairhaventrack.org Note: there is no registration fee for members of the Fair Haven Cross Country Team. Parents are asked to assist.

Remember points awarded for 1st 10 finishers at our developmental meets : 1st(20), 2nd(18), 3rd(16), 4th(14), 5th(12),
6th(10), 7th(8), 8th (6), 9th(4), 10th(2). Points accumulated
are added to Championship Meet points which are doubled to determine series MVP and Allstar team for each division
Please note that we have have cancelled the AAU NE Championships 11/4 and added
the NJ AAU Cross Country Championships 11/11/07 to our schedule. Information and application can be dowloaded below.

Congratulations to 2007 Track & Field Team
Toby Savage, Sara Savage, Drew Shaw, Arianna Reed, and Caron Reed (missing from photo) all contributed to the team's
6th place finish out of ten registered teams.
In addition to Drew Shaw, points were contributed by Sarah Savage (Girls 7-8) 1st
shot put; Toby Savage (Boys 9-10) 2nd shot put; Caron Reed (Boys 11-12) 3rdhigh jump , 2nd pentathlon ; Arianna Reed (Girls 11-12) 1st pentathlon , 6th
100m. Sarah Savage also had the distinction of qualifying for the AAU National Jr. Olympic Games in the shot put this summer
at the Univ. of TN.

Directions to the Count Basie Track: Newman Springs Rd. & Henry St Red Bank NJ 07701. You will make a left turn between
a Nisson and a Volvo dealership and the track will be straight ahead.
Program Duration This program will begin in March and
continue through the end of school. Practice will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:00pm to 6:30pm (site
TBS). Fridays will generally be a practice meet or developmental meet.
Activities
The normal routine will start with a short warm up run and stretching activities followed by instruction on specific
events. Practices are generally concluded with relay races. Fridays will be a local meet. Optional meets will be scheduled.
These meets will generall be on weekends and shedule will be posted.
