AAU National Club Championship
July 13 19, 2010 The Bronx Tigers track Club took a group of 28 athletes, parents, and well wishers to the AAU National Club Championship Meet in Orlando, Florida.
Our athletes got the opportunity to compete in a national meet but had competition from both national and international athletes. The competition was as fierce as the 100 degree heat, but our Tigers rose to the competition. There were six athletes who qualified for semi-finals in the 100m,200m,400m, 800m, and the youth girls 4x100 meter relay. In the end, Malik, Camisha, Ariel, Arianne, and Tamera left the meet with AAU National Championship hardware and the opportunity to compete at The AAU Junior Olympics Game in Norfolk, Virginia.
Coach, athletes and parents enjoyed bonding with each other playing air hockey, and video games until the end of competition when they all made a BIG splash in the pool!
A heartfelt thank you to the coaches, Coach Keithroy, Coach D, Coach Ivan, and all the parents who helped to make our national championship meet a success. Cross County and Indoors season here we come!
