We plan to profile several high quality meets in each issue. Meets should be scheduled for two or three months ahead of the profile date in order to provide maximum coverage. We are pleased to profile a major event that is scheduled for one of the finest indoor facilities in the country. We will also post results of events that we profile. These events scheduled for Harvard University should have some performance rivaling those of the USATF and the AAU Indoor National Championships.

You can submit your profile on the form at the bottom of this page.

Background Information  This event will be contested with grade rather than age group divisions. This meet will give athletes an opportunity to qualify early for the First National HS Decathlon/Heptathlon Championships to be held in Albuquerque NM June 28-29, 2003. Athletes must score (Male) 6000 points in a decathlon or (Female) 4200 points in a Heptathlon. An alternative is for males to average 600 points in 5 decathlon events and for  females to average 600 points in 3 heptathlon events. We have requested that athletes in this meet scoring 3000 points in this indoor pentathlon be accepted as qualifiers for National HS Decathlon/Heptathlon Championships. Each athlete meeting these standards will receive a certificate.

The top male and the top female in each grade (9 thru 12) will be awarded plaques and finishers 2 thru 6 will be awarded medals. Scoring will be in accordance with USATF Youth Athletics scoring tables.
